Day 04 – Normangee to College Station

Fairly sleepless night due to all the road noises. That surprised me for such a small town. Woke up about 5:30 a.m. and walked to a port-a-potty where I changed cloths to my cycling version. Definitely another windbreaker day and lucky I had purchased those gloves. What I haven’t shared yet is that 2 days ago I got my text/email/phone call to get my 1st covid shot. I was scheduled for Tuesday in Arlington. My route was suppose to take me to Navasoto but I rerouted to College Station where I could rent a car from the airport there.

When I mention “road angles”, I had 2 more that helped me today. These were friends that have a cabin near ours in Lake City but live in College Station. There house was just a short way off my map. I arrived at their house around 11 a.m. They were so nice to me fed me lunch and gave me and Wildfire a ride to the airport car rental.

After stowing Wildfire in the back of the vehicle I arrived back in Fort Worth around 5 p.m. Sorry … no photos today as I was so focused on getting to College Station and back to Fort Worth.
